Traditional Pot Fish Stew

This stew will not only warm your tummy but warm your heart!

Heat traditional pot on the braiser

Chop 2 onions, 1 red bell pepper, 1 green bell pepper and 1 yellow bell pepper and add to half a cup of oil into the traditional pot stir for 1 minute.

Add 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder, 5 teaspoons of fish spice and 1 cup of tomato paste and mix well for 2 mins.

Add a few maize cobs or sweet corn to your stew then 4 cups of fresh water to gravy.

Season 6 to 7 pieces of fresh Yalelo fish to taste and add to your stew.

Let everything cook for a further 15 mins.

Plate and enjoy!


2 whole Yalelo Fish ( Cut into 3 pieces each)
2 Onions
Cooking oil
1 yellow bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
1 red bell pepper
Red Chili (optional)
